PETALING JAYA: Increased consumption of turtle eggs among locals may contribute to the extinction of the species, a report by World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) Malaysia states. The report commissioned by the organisation and prepared by Traffic Southeast Asia, entitled Marine Turtle Egg Consumption and Trade in Malaysia has shown that market demand for the eggs exceeds supply.
